About

Jeffrey Michael Kuntz is a formidable litigator, with a practice spanning diverse areas such as products liability, mass torts, drug and medical device litigation, toxic/environmental torts, class actions, medical malpractice and personal injury/wrongful death. Jeff has tried numerous jury trials to a verdict as Lead/Co-Lead Counsel which have yielded significant outcomes, including participation in high-stakes trials with multimillion-dollar verdicts for both plaintiffs and defendants, reflecting his balanced approach to practicing law.

Prior to forming JMK Law and joining Chicago-based firm Wallace Miller as a partner, Jeff Kuntz was at a national law firm based in Kansas City for 23 years. While there, Jeff obtained what are still the largest verdicts in the history of the Firm for both a personal injury case (Millard) and a mass tort drug/device case (Kaiser v. Johnson & Johnson). He also obtained the largest non-mass tort personal injury settlement in the history of that Firm (Bross v. Waste Management).

With comprehensive practice areas, Jeff Kuntz embodies the tenacity and skill that clients seek and the legal profession respects both nationally and internationally. His track record and accolades speak to a career dedicated to the pursuit of legal excellence.

Jeff Kuntz’s leadership extends beyond the courtroom.  He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been appointed to the ABOTA Executive Committee for the Western Missouri/Eastern Kansas Chapter.  Jeff has also been appointed to the Missouri Supreme Court's Disciplinary Committee for Region IV.  He is also a member of the International Society of Barristers (ISOB), a highly vetted invite only Organization. These appointments represent his standing in the Legal Community.
